The sauna experience is yours to shape. Sit high for intense heat, settle onto the lower bench or floor for something gentler — you're in control.
New to sauna? Start with short 5–10 minute rounds, step outside or take a cold plunge to cool down, then come back in when you're ready. There's no rush.
If you're joining a community session, come as you are — whether you're here to zone out in silence or strike up a conversation with whoever's sharing the space, both are equally welcome.

Most importantly, bathing suit, two towels (one to sit on in the sauna and another to dry off when you get out), and lots of water. A set of warm clothes to wrap yourself in after is lovely, and if you are a seasoned sauna goer, your favorite felted sauna hat.

Sauna traditions vary widely and while we welcome you to enjoy the sauna as you please with full buyouts, during our public sessions, swimwear is required out of consideration for all guests sharing the space.

We have a cold water plunge but no ice bath. Please note that the cold plunge is not a guided experience and is used at your own risk. If we are near the river, a lake, or the ocean, you are welcome to use that as your cold plunge, again, at your own risk.

Given that our sauna is wood fired, the temperate can vary depending on the weather outside. If it is windy, the temperate will often be a little lower but the typical range is between 170-200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Kinship sauna sessions are small, intentional, and carefully held. If something comes up, we ask that cancellations or reschedules be made at least 48 hours before your session, allowing us to re-offer the spot to our community.
48+ hours’ notice → full refund or full credit
Less than 48 hours’ notice → no refund or credit
You’re welcome to reschedule via the website.
To cancel, please email us at: hello@kinshipsauna.comThank you for helping us keep the sauna flowing smoothly for everyone.

Children between the ages of 7-15 must be accompanied by a guardian and do require the purchase of a spot in the sauna. We recommend that children within this age range sit on the floor or lower bench and begin with 2-4 minutes sessions in the sauna.
Parents of children of this age are assuming full responsibility for their child(ren) during their session.
Children aged 16 and over are welcome and must sign a waiver upon booking.

No toilets or showers, but we do have a small indoor changing area for you to change and store your belongings if it’s raining, otherwise we have buckets outside for your clothes.
Ideally you come to your sauna session ready in your bathing suit.
